5-20-8 Alright, here's the new deal: The site is undergoing a major overhaul right now because I feel that with very few exceptions, the site looks like crap. While I'm very happy with the way the Desert Rose comic and movie pages look, and the Disposable Graffiti page, I'm not digging the way the rest of the site looks. I want there to be a more uniform look to aberrantpress.com and am currently working towards that. This will take awhile because I have somewhere in the area of seven billion other projects that all have to get done posthaste. I promise though that I will work on it as much as possible and try to have something professional looking up before the San Diego Comic-Con. Here's some stuff you can expect from the new Aberrant Press site: - The main page will become the host to my blog, as that is basically what it is already, only without all the content that I have been posting elsewhere. - New sections that represent the other aspects of the company, including ones for our printing (wide format and other) and commission art/graphic design departments. - New buttons, because the ones I have now are pre-fab garbage that don't fit the site at all. - Speaking of crap, it is definitely time for a new site header. As much as I love my aberrant "A" logo, I've grown to hate the alphabet I created to build the rest of the header. So consider it gone in lieu of a much more modest one in the near future. - Revamped and reworked pages for all our varied works. Again, I like the way certain pages are already, but also again, I want things to be uniform to an extent, so I'm going to have to figure out a way to combine the old with the new. - I will finally get our convention pictures and videos up here. We have something like five years worth of stuff, and yet none of it online. - And with a little luck, we can start uploading higher quality videos, too. So that's it for this update. Like I said, it'll be awhile, but we'll get it done. In the meantime, the background you see on here is the new one for the site, barring any better ideas popping into my head, so hopefully you all dig it. If not, feel free to write us and tell me I suck. Until next time, Justin |
